A Great Loss to the Animal World:
Reflections on Steve Irwin
By Anita Petronella B.
The energies here on the Sunshine Coast are very heavy this Tuesday
morning as the enormity of Steve Irwin’s death settles within the
animal world. It feels like a great weight has descended just a few
feet above my head. The zoo is about 10 kilometers from where I live
and the energy comes in waves. The collective consciousness of both
humans and animals are creating this energy as everyone comes to terms
with this life-changing event.
On hearing of his death on Monday at about 2.30 pm the only message
that came through for me was, “What a great loss to the animal world”.
This message was to further unfold. I personally was shocked as is the
normal human reaction. How sad for his family. I have watched the news
reports and seen everyone’s reactions, they are so shocked and sad. He
died doing what he absolutely loved; maybe it would have been more
tragic if he had died in a car or plane accident as human reaction
would have been more at a loss trying to explain it.
This morning, I watched an interview with one of his staff members who
related the story of what happened after the zoo closed Monday
afternoon. He commented on the silence of the place when the staff
gathered to get a grip on the news. Even the animals were silent.
Then it hit me: why the energies around here are as they are and what
my message, “What a great loss to the animal world,” really meant.
I tapped into the animal world and the communications are huge and
coming from everywhere. The animals are at a great loss, feeling they
have lost a great man who had campaigned and brought their world out to
the human world. They have not always agreed with the way he has done
it, but in the big picture, humans now have more regard for animals in
general because of the way he has done this. He always did what he
thought was best for the animal world, all animals agree on that.
As animal communicators and healers it is up to us to send love and
healing to the world as a whole: for all the animals, Steve Irwin’s
family and friends and all the people of this planet. We need to bring
the human world to the next level of connection with the animal world.
Steve Irwin started this connection and we as animal communicators and
healers will carry it on.
We were all friends of Steve Irwin, some may not have liked the man or
agreed with his methods, but just sit and reflect on how this man with
a larrikin personality has affected your lives.
