The Soul of a Horse: Life Lessons from the Herd
By Joe Camp
Review by Kathleen Prasad
Those of us who grew up in the 70s, like me, have warmed to the mind and heart of Joe Camp a long time ago: remember Benji? Joe Camp produced, directed and distributed this movie himself! He's a natural intuitive with dogs--and now we can add horses to that list! In his latest project, the just-released book, The Soul of a Horse, Joe takes the reader on a journey: a journey where your intuition is your guide and the horse is your teacher.
The book alternates between chapters from the perspective of the horse (yes, sometimes even in first person!), and chapters from Joe's own perspective as he learns many valuable lessons from his equine
teachers.
Sounds a little bit like working with Reiki and horses, huh? Yes,
that's what I thought, as I read through this entertaining and
informative book. The horses show us the way, we quiet our minds enough to listen, we spend lots of time observing and honoring the "way" of the horse.... And in doing this, we deepen our bond with them, learn more about their spirit and soul, and yes, even learn something about ourselves in the process!
Reiki practitioners will find a kindred spirit in Joe, and wonderful wisdom in this lovely book.
Blessings,
Kathleen
