Welcome to 2007, readers! I am very excited to present this newest edition of the Animal Reiki Newsletter, and hope you all enjoy reading :)

A couple of quick announcements: There are still a few spots in the upcoming Shinpiden Master Class taught by visiting Reiki Teacher Frans Stiene. Just contact me if you can join us! Also, don't forget to check out the 5 Power Animal Meditations: it's a fun and easy way to make even deeper connections with the animals within your own heart! The Wonderful Recovery of Po
Recently sent from a puppy mill to a local pet store, Po the pup was diagnosed with his problem after an upper respiratory infection got so bad he blew out a lung coughing. Radiographs showed that not only was one lung collapsed, but also that his heart was very abnormal. He also had a really bad cough, would not eat and was in such bad shape that he was set to be euthanized. It didn't help any that he was so tiny.

Fendi: My Best Teacher
Of all the animals I’ve learned from, Fendi was my best teacher. A 7-year old Irish Wolfhound, she was a retired show dog with a gentle disposition -- she always seemed happy, whether sleeping in the house or running on the beach. My first introduction to Fendi was four years ago when I was visiting her home, a two-story house in which she claimed the upstairs landing as her hangout.

I have been a Reiki practitioner for just over a year now, and my focus has been on Reiki for animals. Sometimes doubt would creep in, and I would wonder if I was really helping them. Then I had an experience that removed all my doubt.

Horses Who Lead Me To People Who Need Healing
There have been many times when I've gone to give healing to a horse and a person associated with that horse has needed healing as well. Through treating the horse and linking the human both have been helped. These are the times when the horse has led me to people who need healing, situations where that person would not otherwise have considered or thought that healing could help their particular problem. The response of the horse has stimulated the person involved to want to participate in the healing for a benefit to themselves.

Submission Guidelines/Editorial Policy Articles should not exceed 1,500 words in length, and should reflect the theme of the issue. Pictures are encouraged! Please include a short bio including full name, Reiki level of practice, city/state of residence and web site or other contact information. Animal Reiki Source reserves the right to edit text as required. Articles are due on the 25th of the month preceding publication.
