I feel this is a very important topic to cover, as in the Let Animals Lead® method, our role is considered very passive and supportive, rather than active. For us, Animal Reiki is about the power of being, not doing. This is something that only the actual experience and practice of holding space, using our 6 pillars to guide us, can bring. Our daily meditation practice that we share with animals will uncover the true power of presence, which is so vital as a foundation for successful connections with animals. No matter what trauma they have gone through in the past, or what challenge they may be faced with currently, being able to hold space, without fear or anger or judgment and with an open and compassionate heart, remembering that “all is well,” is the greatest healing gift we can offer.
